Collecting point to point travel time in Paramics

Product Feature: Analyser
Within Analyser, a route can be defined and the combined average travel time across multiple links can be calculated using that. For more detailed info like actual vehicle drive times, max, min, refer 'trip data' in Analyser.

For intermediate P2P and P2P following a particular path, detectors can be used in following steps:
  1. Place a detector at the beginning and end points and any waypoints along the path (Do not use spaces in the detector names).
  2. Collect detector data - if this is for the entire simulation period, sort them out later into sub-periods.
  3. Set loop time format to be in seconds.
  4. Combine them into a single file (group data) or use multiple files. For group data it is easier to collect a single data type like speed.
  5. Import the data into excel and delimit it by ":" (colon) and " "(space).
  6. If using single data, combine all lanes into a single area (table) unless lane matters (ex. HOV).
  7. Create a seperate excel sheet for each detector/location.
  8. Adjust the data so the vehicle ID is the first column.
  9. Sort by vehicle id from 'low to high'.
  10. Add a function 'vlookup' to find the vehicle ID (first column) in each location specify exact match only.
  11. For vehicle making the path time will be returned otherwise vehicle that go elsewhare will return a "N/A", while returning the time.
  12. Add a function to subtract end time from start time (could be built into the vlookup fuction)
  13. Sort on travel time (low to high).
