Resolving the EngageOne Content Author login error - An unhandled error has occurred in the application

When attempting to log into EngageOne Content Author, the error "unhandled error has occurred in the application" occurs.

UPDATED: August 28, 2017
Run the CCM Content Author Config Tool and run through each of the tabs, running the configurations on each panel, then try accessing the site again.

Alternatively, in some cases it resolves itself after a reboot of the server.
