However, when starting MapInfo/Discover, Discover fails to launch.
There is also no Encom Discover tool (.mbx) listed under Tools > Tool Manager.
The Discover 2013 upgrade installs components to different folders than those installed by Discover 2012.

To resolve, add Discover.mbx as a Tool under Tool Manager – Discover.mbx is now found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Encom\Discover folder.
(NOTE: In Discover 2012 – Discover folder is found at C:\Program Files (x86)\MapInfo\Professional\ by default)
In some instances, users will receive messages referencing an incorrect Discover folder, or Temporary/Configuration folder that doesn’t exist.
Go to Discover > Configuration file then check for those paths – users may need to re-specify the path,
If not sure what the correct PATH is, click on the ellipsis ("...") then select ‘All User’ so the PATH will be correctly generated.
Users will need to find the Discover.ini file and edit this. Check the path to the Configuration folder (as per above screenshot) then go up one level (i.e. to the Discover folder) – Discover.ini should be found there:
After that, restart MapInfo/Discover.
