Resolve error during logon using PCM key for Portrait

Product Feature: Visual Dialog

Operating System: Windows 2008


When user tries to open Dialogue from Visual Dialogue or when user tries to login into HQ, user gets error Error during logon using PCM key.


The password in the identity tab needs updating.


UPDATED: August 24, 2017
1. Open IIS manager
2. Traverse to Application pools in the tree on the left of IIS manager.
3. In listed application pools -> click on PortraitSharedServerAppPool.
4. Open advance settings of Selected app pool.
5. Update the password in identity tab of Advance setting.
6. Reset IIS.

We have seen the following actions resolve this issue:
- Restarting the SQL server browser service.
