Resolve Exponare error - "Connection Failed" and "Could not load file or assembly"

Products affected: Exponare™


Exponare Enquiry displays the following error message when launched:

"Connection Failed
Exponare Enquiry could not make a connection to the Exponare Server.
There may be a problem with your network connection..."


And browsing Exponare.asmx from IIS Manager displays the following error:



The Exponare application pool has not been set to accept a 32-bit application


UPDATED: September 19, 2017
To resolve this issue:

1. Go to IIS Manager
2. Go to the Application Pool, and select the Exponare Application Pool
3. Right-click and choose "advanced settings"
4. Set "Enable 32-bit Application" to "True"
5. do an IISRESET
